PRODUCTS I BUILD

Three products for everyday needs: managing events, keeping finances in order and keeping score at the table.

Personal finance

GastApp

Keep recurring expenses, credit cards and shared debts in one place.

  • Monthly overview, recurring expenses and credit card installments.
  • Shared expenses, debts and invitations between accounts.
  • Google sign-in and optional email reminders.
Technical details
Product
A personal finance application for tracking what is due, what has been paid and how expenses are split, with each currency kept separate.
Technical decisions
Exact monetary values, transactional updates and idempotency protect financial records. Server authorization is backed by PostgreSQL row-level security; a separate worker handles email reminders.
Technologies
  • React Router
  • React
  • TypeScript
  • Express
  • Prisma
  • PostgreSQL
  • Tailwind CSS

Mobile-first scorekeeper

Burako

Keep score at the Burako table, with the game saved between rounds.

  • Four-player games, with quick setup or teams.
  • Round scoring, deductions and dealer rotation.
  • Undo, game history and reopening completed games.
Technical details
Product
A scorekeeper designed for phones and usable on desktop, with Google sign-in and server-side persistence when each round is confirmed.
Technical decisions
SQLite keeps the deployment to one application and a persistent volume. Visible games refresh every five seconds and when the connection or window focus returns; server checks reject stale round updates.
Technologies
  • React Router
  • React
  • TypeScript
  • Express
  • SQLite
  • Tailwind CSS

Event SaaS

Auguri

Create event pages and invitations, then manage the details behind the celebration.

  • Customizable event pages and invitations, with attendance confirmations.
  • Guest lists, seating plans, expenses and event schedules.
  • An event team and a dedicated subdomain for each event.
Technical details
Product
A SaaS platform for creating and managing event pages, invitations and digital experiences. One account can work on multiple events, each with its own team and content.
Technical decisions
Each event is a tenant, resolved from its subdomain. A shared application and PostgreSQL database use event-scoped server queries and permissions; invitations render on the server, and uploaded images live in persistent storage.
Technologies
  • React Router
  • React
  • TypeScript
  • Prisma
  • PostgreSQL
  • Tailwind CSS

02 / A BIT MORE HUMAN

ENGINEERING MIND.PRODUCT INSTINCT.

I’m Ricardo H. Bruno. You can call me Ricky. I studied Computer Engineering at Universidad Nacional de Tucumán, and I’m interested in how every part of a product fits together.

I co-founded Ingeit, taught and mentored developers at Rolling Code School, and led development teams. Today I work with international clients at DEPT® and build my own products. Those experiences have taught me to explain technical decisions clearly and take responsibility for the work beyond my own code.

Background & credentials

Ricardo H. Bruno

I take ownership of technical planning and implementation, working with clients and teams on architectural decisions, complex problems and improvements to development workflows. Alongside development, my experience includes team leadership, teaching and mentoring.

  1. 2026/05 - Present

    DEPT® / Taskrabbit

    Senior Full Stack Developer

Led the redesign of campaign and marketing pages, migrating content management from API-based solutions to Contentful. Designed and implemented reusable Contentful content types, integrating them with Next.js to dynamically render pages.

Took full ownership of technical decisions, task planning, and implementation, working autonomously with client approval. Collaborated with the team to ensure code quality, maintainability, and consistency across the platform, with responsibility for delivering features from initial planning through code review.

    Contentful / Next.js

  2. 2025/10 - 2026/03

    DEPT® / QuidelOrtho

    Senior Full Stack Developer

Played a key role in designing and building Unified Portal, a centralized application integrating multiple existing platforms into a single experience. Took ownership of major architectural decisions, proposing and implementing solutions adopted by the tech lead, including React Router 7, React Query, caching strategies, and code standardization.

Developed authentication flows, administrative interfaces, and API integrations, focusing on performance, maintainability, and scalability. Actively contributed to technical planning and architectural discussions, taking on technical leadership responsibilities beyond the senior developer role.

React Router 7 / React Query

  3. 2025/05 - 2025/09

    DEPT® / Taskrabbit

    Senior Full Stack Developer

Built a multi-step claims form with dynamic questions per claim type. Used Jotai atoms for state and persistence (resume after refresh/close), Formik + Zod for stepwise validation and dynamic visibility, and TypeScript + Next.js for a robust UI.

Collaborated with backend to define BFF endpoints and shape the wizard flow (including auto-jump to the last completed step). Implemented a file upload module to handle user attachments securely, managing uploads to Amazon S3 and integrating them into the form flow.

Created factories and test utilities to reliably test components and hooks.

    TypeScript / Next.js / Jotai / Formik / Zod / Amazon S3 / BFF

  4. 2024/10 - 2024/10

    DEPT® / Groupe Dynamite

    Senior React Native Developer

Collaborated with another developer to enhance an existing React Native application by integrating a real-time content preview feature for content editors. Designed and implemented functionality to fetch and display draft content directly from the CMS, enabling editors to view changes instantly before publishing.

Ensured seamless synchronization between the CMS and the app by optimizing API requests and caching strategies to maintain performance. Addressed challenges such as handling edge cases with content updates, ensuring compatibility across devices, and maintaining a smooth user experience during live previews.

The feature significantly improved the content editing workflow and reduced time-to-publish for editors.

React Native / CMS / API caching
